Title: "The Journey of Life: Growing in the Realm of Possibilities."

For the facade of the new school building at "Het Epos" primary school in Rotterdam Zuidwijk, Marjan Laaper created a growth-inspired design based on the layout of the Zuidwijk district. Six Wisteria trees, planted at the base of the building's pillars, grow upwards, their branches, leaves, and blossoms intertwining with the Zuidwijk map. These trees represent not only the core values of the school—growth, perseverance, achievement, curiosity, community, and happiness—but also the personal growth, development, and choices of the students throughout their life journeys. The growing artwork not only provides a green and fragrant facade for the neighborhood but also offers a safe and thriving habitat for birds and insects. Furthermore, it will change with the seasons, reflecting the ongoing growth of nature and the students alike.
